Overseas Visit

     Since the tidal waves of globalization has overwhelmed the whole world, countries throughout the world have started to search for opportunities to economically cooperate, or even to integrate with each other in multiple angles. To experience this tidal wave, YEF program for the first time chose to take our 15 delegates to visit Beijing and Silicon Valley, expecting to let them understand the position that Taiwan’s industry set in global market, and the industrial connection within the region of greater China.

        YEF Overseas Visit started from 9/7~9/19. In this two-week overseas visit, the delegates visited reputed universities such as Tsinghua University (Beijing), UC Berkeley, and Stanford University；renowned enterprises such as IDEO、CISCO、Google Beijing, Microsoft Research Asia, and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation(SMIC, Beijing); start-up enterprises such as HealthLink and YouXiGu in Beijing, and Cardiva Medical、Modista、QVSense in Silicon Valley, etc. 
        During the visit, YEF’s delegates had the opportunity to present their business plans and to exchange opinions with students both in Tsinghua University (Beijing) and UC Berkeley, thus viewing and each other’s business plan with different aspects. In addition, by visiting some institutions focusing on scientific and industrial cooperation, this visit was able to let the delegates expand the horizons and establish global networking.
