Our Establishment

In 1977, Taiwan SECOM was established with the vision to bring safety and security to the society at large. Mr. Lin Shiaw Shinn, our chairman, foresaw the need for security and decided to start the business. Henceforth, this frontier effort never took any absence in the security industry. Over the years, our hard work and belief, humanity first, has received wide recognition.

Safety Made Possible with High Technology

To offer maximum efficiency and superb service, we opted for computerized management. Our strong focus on technology has led to our proud establishment of centers of computer control, computer information, and customer service. Now we have over 100,000 customers connected to our system through high-speed optical network and IBM’s RS/6000 double mainframe system. Together with our patrol dispatch system, these advanced security systems formed a protective network that will bring reliable and complete professional coverage to our clients.

To add expertise and specialize in more comprehensive services, Taiwan SECOM has established or invested in a number of subsidiary companies to broaden the scope of current offerings, such as security guardsmen service (by Kuohsing Security and Goyun Security), armored cash delivery , ATM cash re-fill and transaction connection (all by Lee Bao Security), civilian-police alarm network manufacture and construction(by Lee Way), building management & maintenance (by Goyun Building Management), systems manufacturing (by Titan-star International), surveillance & monitoring equipment (by Taiwan Video Systems), and digital security service technology ( by Aion Technologies, and eSkylink Technologies) .

R & D: Unparalleled Consistency

In addition to the diversification, our goal of self-manufacturing and developing unique products to accommodate the Taiwan market was realized with the establishment of the R & D center and production center, along with technical support from SECOM Japan. Now we are proud to share the fruitful results with our customers—all our systems are not only made and developed in Taiwan, but are tested and certified by SECOM Japan.
